| Customer Reviews: This is a nice product June 13, 2010 Jason Nichols (outside the box) This hammer has an all around high quality construction. It is not too light and not too heavy for driving every type of nail except finish nails. The waffle grid milling works just as I expected it would keeping the nail from slipping or bending when I smack it home. Thank you for offering this quality product.
Amazing Hammer July 11, 2007 Lauren W. Locke (Seattle, WA USA) The shape of the head and the hickory handle really helps on off center hits - makes each strike seem really solid. Plus, it doesn't make any wierd noises when you hammer with it like some metal handles do. I, like the other reviewer - don't hit anything but nails with it. If i need to use my cats paw, i use the side of the hammer.
Otherwise, everyone who has ever borrowed my hammer, even if just for a couple minutes, tells me how much they like it. I really suggest this hammer.
Lightweight, powerful hammer January 14, 2001 Bob14-0 (Grand Ledge, MI United States) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Forget about the ... - plus titanium hammers on the market, promising faster swing, less fatigue and more power. Indeed, they may deliver but the Vaughan 19oz Cal. framer has all that at a very affordable price. Got mine about 6 months ago, and arm and wrist fatigue/pain are gone. I can sink 16d sinkers with 3 - 4 wacks with this hammer. The milled face has no appreciable wear, but I refuse to use it to strike anything but nails. I'm thinkng about buying the 19oz smooth face for decking and other work where I want to leave no trace. I don't think you'll be sorry with this hammer if you're using it for framing. Regards, 14-0
