Product Description Estwing Hammerlock Pick Holster. Plastic belt holster for rock hammers. The Hammerlock Pick Holster is the best thing we've found for working in the field. It keeps the rock hammer tip from digging into anything and it's easy to get the hammer in and out. Just hold the hammer handle up, slip the tip into the tube, and drop the handle to the side. Just as easy to "quick draw" out. Buy hammers, holsters, and hammers from the same vendor or you'll pay extra shipping.

Really easy to use in the field January 12, 2008 Owens Valley Rockhound (Lone Pine, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
While not a think of beauty the thing is it works. Sheaths are difficult to use until they're really and I mean really broken in. I've just about always found them to be a two handed operation. They're great for storage but if you really intend to carry a rock hammer for use in the field then get one of these. Point the handle to the sky, slide the pointed or chisel end into the tube, set the hammer head on the 'U' hook and just drop the hammer to the side. The 'U' hook is tall enough that the hammer doesn't easily bounce out. Besides working better than a sheath the Estwing Hammerlock Pick is Holster also cheaper!
Nice Holster December 28, 2007 David A. Long (NC USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: It definitely holds the hammer in place and prevents you from getting stuck by the sharp pick end. Con: The PVC end of the holster is actually sharp. I rounded the corners down and all is good now.
