5 out of 5 stars Hammer is fine.   April 22, 2010

This hammer is a decent hammer there is nothing wrong with it. Have worked in construction for my hole life. If you want a durable hammer, that has no frills this will pretty much do the job.

I would choose a stanley fat max,Vaughn, or Estwing, but this is a very good homeowner hammer. Its handle is a little short so the leverage is not that high. However, that is personal preference.

1 out of 5 stars Bad experience for the first time   August 26, 2009

When I ordered this hammer I chose 2nd day shipping by mistake as the method of delivery. I tried to correct it to standard ground shipping right after I relized my mistake but the page said, that the order was in place already so the delivery method couldn't be changed by then. Whenever I ordered from amazon in the past this had never happened to me before, I was always allowed to do shipping corrections with my orders. 2nd day shipping cost me more than the hammer itself which is an alright one but nothing special about it, just a hammer and it certainly isn't worth the money I had to spend for it. The day I placed the order was a Saturday, and I only had the hammer delivered on the following Wednesday. Since I had to pay for 2nd day shipping I don't understand why it didn't arrive on Tuesday at the latest or why it's called 2nd day if it's not delivered in two days? I could have bought a much priceier one at any hardware store for this price. I would rate the item 2 stars but I'm very disappointed with the transaction itself, so I gave it a single star only.
