| Customer Reviews: A good little hammer September 1, 2010 crgator (Florida) Does what I got it for. I needed a brass hammer for work on some of my guns. Not a BFH, but a small hammer to drive pins in and out and other small work. This does it.
When you try to replace the heads, you may end up with a minor problem: the heads should be male, but it appears (from my experience and another review) that the threaded stud comes out of the head and stays in the hammer. It's not that big of a deal. A pliers and super glue fixes the problem.
This is not a heavy hammer, so if you really need to put some meat into the job, look for something else. But, if you need a light weight, this might be just what you're looking for.
Rubber, Nylon, and ABS heads not interchangeable with hammer. March 3, 2010 Lewbert (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The supplied rubber, nylon, and abs heads are male to female threads. The two brass and copper heads attached to the hammer are female to male threads. I tried to remove the threads from the supplied extra heads. This hammer is worthless.
Luthier's hammer November 9, 2009 Jeffrey A. Hensley (Harrisonburg, VA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm using this hammer for a variety of luthier tasks. It has a great weight for such tasks and the interchangable heads work great for safely hammering different parts. For the price, this is a good purchase.
5 in 1 hammer January 27, 2008 Tom Thacker (London, KY) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This hammer worked well for what I purchased it for which was pounding plastic position dots into a banjo neck. The hammer is good quality for a reasonable price. This hammer will be very useful in building kit furniture. as well as musical instruments.
