| Customer Reviews: Dalluge 16oz. Titanium . . . less than their best August 18, 2010 jeh I purchased this hammer from Amazon and their response was first rate. I had several email conversations with a service rep at Dalluge and was instructed not to use punches, drifts or cat's claw with this product. Fair enough! When I received the hammer it works as advertised and relieves elbow strain considerably. I really like the side nail puller and the 1" longer handle compared to my 25 yr. old 22 oz Estwing, aids in pulling 3-1/2" ardox.
However, there are some concerns. There is really excessive chamfering (try 3/16"!) on the hammer face and it is difficult to impossible, to angle the last blow and countersink nail heads. The head could benefit from less convex curvature in my opinion too. Also, the handle dried up in a few weeks and became loose sideways such that I had to insert some cardboard on the job to tighten the head on the handle. The handle is an excellent choice of edge grained hickory, set in the correct direction. Good work! When I emailed service at Dalluge (Debbie at Vaughan Manufacturing) I received no response back from her. This is not really very smart, as it demonstrates poor customer support. I did take the time and sent images of my 22oz Estwing hammer head and my 16oz Stanley hammer from the early 1970's.
All in all it's a great device with these service and manufacturing caveats.
Yes, I can regrind the head myself and use 24hr. epoxy on the handle; but should anyone have to on a $149 CDN hammer?

had to have hammer! July 23, 2010 S. Olson (Flaxton, ND USA) Have been looking for this hammer for a long time, and am not disappointed. Lightweight, strong, and a wood handle. wonderful!
best hammer ever March 15, 2010 Gabriel L. Mcclellan (vienna,Il) I have been a carpenter for fourteen years and this is the best hammer i have ever come across.Have had problems with handles braking on other hammers aka stilletos but with the guard on dalluge it just keeps on keepin on. remember git er done.
awesome hammer February 4, 2010 George Jolin (Newmarket, On., Can.) This is most certainly the best hammer I"ve ever purchased. I've owned many different brands of hammers, but always favoured one with a wooden handle. Until this purchase my favourite was a Douglas hammer, which is of the same design. Now I have a new favourite.
Awesome March 4, 2009 Moth (NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love this titanium hammer. Exact design as my Douglas 20 oz. steel framer, but without the milled waffle face. Its lighter, has great balance, and hits just as hard. The Douglas is now on reserve for the rougher stuff.
