I wrote a review and amazon didn't take it so I'm just going to list the flaws:

- The claws are way too short.
- The claws are far too dull and need to be sharpened if you want to get a bite on or between anything.
- The side nail puller is too shallow and too dull. It can not be sharpened and will not get a bite on a nailhead, at all. I'm actually shocked at how bad this is because you would think their engineers would notice this.
- The nail magnet can not accommodate double head nails.
- The placement of the nail magnet (at the bottom of the head as opposed to the top) results in nails either being bent or flying all over the place unless you strike the lumber perfectly square, and even then it's iffy.
- The neck flexes far too much to use the hammer to pry lumber or to pull deeply stuck nails sideways.

Dead on has a reputation of making poorly made and overpriced hammers (I can't speak for their other tools but I doubt they're much different). This was my first and last purchase of one of their products. This hammer isn't even acceptable for use by a weekend warrior doing some work on their own homes much less for use by a professional carpenter.
